	Description:		The new $14 million Sacramento County Animal Shelter houses animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and other exotic animals.

The shelter, which opened in October 2009, boasts energy efficiency and greater comfort for both pets and people. An Alerton BACtalk System is one of the elements that allowed the facility to achieve LEED certification.
